About the artist
Based in sunny Manila, Rees spent most of her free time after school drawing on loose sheets of paper. In 2011, her mother invited her to paint on her office wall, a project that became a portrait of Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Through the years, her art has evolved to hold at least two distinct qualities—a story to the piece, and deep emotions expressed by her subjects.
In March 2020, Rees chose to take her first steps towards becoming a freelance commissionable artist. She created a social media presence for Hiraya, and built a following among international fan bases. Soon after, she accepted her first commission for a digital portrait in realism.
Today, Rees is a full-time IT professional and enjoys her weekends with her family, her dogs, and occasionally video games.
